Paper In A Day Leader Application Now Open! Paper in a Day (PIAD) grew out of a wish to foster collaborations between young researchers from around the world. The day is designed to stimulate international connections and the exchange of ideas by working on a tangible outcome: a brief paper or commentary for a peer-reviewed journal. PIAD has a rich history at ISTSS. Since its initiation at the 2012 ISTSS annual meeting (read more), it has successfully stimulated international connections and the exchange of ideas by working on a tangible outcome: A paper, short communication, or commentary for a peer-reviewed journal. This will be an intensive, productive, and enjoyable day. The aim of the exercise, firstly, is to stimulate international collaboration and exchange among early career researchers, and, secondly, to write a manuscript that will be submitted for publication. Previous editions have led to journal articles, conference contributions, and lasting collaborations. Because PIAD will take place prior to the ISTSS annual meeting, participants will have the opportunity to follow up with new and old colleagues during the conference. The ISTSS Lifetime Achievement award is the highest honor, given to an individual who has made great lifetime contributions to the field of traumatic stress. Nominations will be judged against the following criteria: ? Outstanding overall achievement across multiple areas in clinical practice, research, strategy, and/or policy ? Consistency of contributions to the field over an extended period of time (at least 10 years) ? Evidence of major influence in the field such as responsibility for changes to clinical and/or research practice, implementation of innovative policy/procedures, and extensive publication record ISTSS offers a range of awards to recognize the contributions of researchers, clinicians, and advocates to the field of traumatic stress. The Society will honor award recipients at the ISTSS 41st Annual Meeting, September 17-20, 2025, in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. An individual can be nominated for multiple awards. When considering whom to nominate for these awards, ISTSS encourages submissions from applicants from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds and from countries outside of North America, as well as within.
