THE SILVIA TCHERASSI SCHOLARSHIP IN BOGOTA Istituto Marangoni Miami and renowned designer Silvia Tcherassi recently hosted an event in Bogotá to announce our partnership to launch the Silvia Tcherassi Scholarship, aimed at supporting emerging fashion talent in Colombia. Over 350 attendees joined to learn about the scholarship and take part in professional development activities led by IMM. The scholarship offers four spots for Colombian designers, including a full scholarship for the One-Year Vocational Program in Fashion Design at IMM, along with three partial scholarships covering 50% of tuition for our Vocational Program in any program area. In addition, the full scholarship recipient will have the chance to gain hands-on experience through an apprenticeship at Silvia Tcherassi’s company, offering a unique insight into the inner workings of the fashion industry. Aspiring designers are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this incredible opportunity to advance their careers.

THE SILVIA TCHERASSI SCHOLARSHIP Istituto Marangoni Miami is excited to partner with renowned designer Silvia Tcherassi to announce The Silvia Tcherassi Scholarship at an exclusive event in Bogotá, Colombia on Monday, October 21st. This inspiring partnership highlights the shared commitment to nurturing future fashion talent and providing exceptional opportunities for aspiring designers. The event in Colombia is designed to be an unforgettable afternoon filled with creative workshops, portfolio reviews, career advice, and styling classes to discover and support the journeys of Colombia’s next big fashion talents. THE UNDERLINE SNEAKER BALL Our students' streetwear-inspired designs took center stage at Friends of The Underline Sneaker Ball, a celebration of Miami's vibrant urban culture. Held at the Brickell Backyard Urban Gym, this event brought together fashion, community, and sustainability in a way that highlights the city's growing status as a dynamic fashion hub. The edgy, modern outfits were paired with sneakers from CNCPTS, creating a striking contrast between high-concept fashion and everyday street style. Executive VP Eva Hughes emphasized how the designs masterfully balanced creativity with sustainability, capturing both the essence of Miami and the collaborative spirit that defines the fashion industry today. NEW ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER / KAROLINA KURKOVA Istituto Marangoni Miami has appointed renowned supermodel and entrepreneur KAROLINA KURKOVA to its Advisory Board. With over two decades of experience in the fashion industry, Kurkova brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to the school. She expressed excitement about this new chapter in her career, stating, “This opportunity is particularly meaningful to me as it represents a new chapter in my career, allowing me to give back to the fashion community in a unique way.” Kurkova will mentor students and offer guidance drawn from her extensive career in fashion and entrepreneurship. Kurkova's impressive background, from gracing the covers of top fashion magazines to her work in sustainable fashion, aligns with Istituto Marangoni Miami’s mission to prepare students for the ever-evolving industry. Her involvement highlights the school’s commitment to providing real-world expertise, positioning it as a leading destination for aspiring fashion professionals. Karolina is wearing a jacket designed by Michael Acierno, an alumnus of the BFA in Fashion Design program.

In an exciting new chapter for?Istituto Marangoni Miami, the school is proud to announce the appointment of?Mario Braghieri?as its new Dean of Fashion. Braghieri, who has been an integral part of the school since its inception, has served as the Fashion Design Program Leader since the Miami campus opened in 2018. With over 30 years of experience in the fashion industry and a deep commitment to the school’s growth, Braghieri is uniquely positioned to guide the next generation of fashion talent. “I am incredibly honored to continue my journey with Istituto Marangoni Miami in this new capacity,” expressed Braghieri. “Having been part of this institution from the very beginning, I’ve witnessed its evolution and growth and I am excited to help shape its future by pushing the boundaries of fashion education without losing our DNA.” Braghieri’s journey in fashion began early, growing up in his family’s manufacturing business in Italy, where he gained first-hand experience in the art of garment production. A graduate of Istituto Marangoni Milan, he went on to collaborate with globally renowned fashion houses, including?Gianfranco Ferré,?Fendi,?Emporio Armani, and?Karl Lagerfeld. His deep expertise in garment construction, pattern making, and fashion production has earned him a respected reputation within the fashion industry. As a core member since the launch of Istituto Marangoni Miami, Braghieri has significantly influenced the vision and direction of the school’s fashion design programs. Under his leadership, the programs have flourished, with students going on to work for prestigious brands such as?Ferrari,?Versace,?Alexander McQueen,?Dolce & Gabbana, and?Valentino, as well as serving as students’ guide as they’ve traveled to cities across the U.S. and LATAM presenting their designs at various fashion weeks. “We are beyond excited to have Mario Braghieri take on the role of Dean of Fashion,” said?Hakan Baykam, CEO and President of Istituto Marangoni Miami. “Mario’s global experience, industry connections, and dedication to our students have been vital to our success, and his appointment as Dean marks a new era for our Miami campus.” In his new role, Braghieri will oversee all fashion programs at Istituto Marangoni Miami, bringing his extensive experience and insights to further elevate the curriculum and inspire future fashion leaders.
