Gender-Based Violence in Mexico: A Crisis We Can’t Ignore In Mexico, gender-based violence is a devastating reality for many women. Two-thirds of women over 15 have faced violence, often from intimate partners. Tragically, about 10 women and girls are murdered every day by someone close to them, solely because of their gender. Mexico is now ranked as one of the most dangerous countries for women by the United Nations. An overwhelming 70.3% of women feel unsafe in their daily lives, and 10.8% of reported crimes against women are sexual. It’s time to stand up and raise awareness. Together, we can make a change.
