International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organizations

关于我们

Our purpose is to explore how psychoanalytic thinking can further our understanding of organizations and the wider social influences that impact on them. The insights gained are used to promote and support the development of healthier, more humane and better performing organizations. Our international membership consists of consultants, academics, clinicians, coaches, managers, leaders, students and others who are active in applying psychoanalytic frameworks to inform their work. This diverse mixture of members enables a very rich exchange of ideas, best-practice, theory, knowledge, experience and consultation, managerial and coaching methods that apply psychoanalytic thinking to the workplace.

Leadership Coach & Trainer ? I work with you to uncover, understand, and manage the unseen dynamics that influence how you take up leadership and authority, so that you can help your team face organizational challenges.

Con?ict and aggression are normal aspects and re?ections of the human condition. Con?ict is neither positive nor negative in and of itself. Rather, it is an out-growth of the diversity that characterizes our thoughts, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions, and our social systems and structures. It is important for organizations to be able to work with difference and with the conflicts that it generates. ? The excerpt below introduces my video taking a #SystemsPsychodynamics approach to #Conflict in organizations. ? The complete video can be found on my YouTube Channel--#GroupRelationsTheoryandPractice. ? How is conflict managed or worked with in your organization? Is it avoided or confronted? Does it get worked with productively or create a toxic environment? ? #OrganizationalDevelopment #Leadership

Founder, Executive & Group Coach (C-Suite), Organisational Development & Group Dynamics | Sōzō-sei no Tenkai?, Creativity-based Development | INSEAD EMC, DiSC?, GELM?

‘Sōzō-sei no Tenkai’: Last weekend in NYC, I had the honor of presenting my work at the ISPSO & TNYC Northeast North America Regional Meeting (https://lnkd.in/eykM-_Wx). The experience sparked rich discussions and explorations among a remarkable group of practitioners. Over the past two years, I’ve designed and piloted a multi-disciplinary intervention as part of my Executive Master in Change at INSEAD. This journey has unveiled profound insights into the intricacies of organizational exploration and transformation. Guided by the theme ‘Exploring Artistic Expressions’, I connected with 40 diverse professionals, sharing the framework of my practitioner research. Together, we explored how human experiences and dynamics within a sector can be explored far beyond the confines of traditional employee surveys and consulting methods. The contour drawing and social drawing matrix exercises added depth and richness to our conversation. A heartfelt thank you to Mette Charis Buchman and the organizing team for creating such a warm, safe space for collective learning. It was truly inspiring to engage with sincere and intelligent practitioners who share a deep passion for group relations and systems psychodynamics. These dialogues not only spark new insights but also open exciting opportunities for organizational development. P.s. This photograph captures a moment from a reflective walk and talk in Manhattan. Just a day later, this setting served as the perfect backdrop for meaningful conversations, reminding me of the importance of taking time to reflect and connect. Thank you Tim Lehman, for the thoughtful stroll! #sozoseinotenkai?#organizationaldevelopment?#grouprelations #systemspsychodynamics #ispso #INSEADEMC
