ISPOR members responded to the European Medicines Agency’s reflection paper on the use of real-world data (RWD) in non-interventional studies to generate real-world evidence (RWE). ISPOR emphasized the importance and need for transparency in RWE studies, the importance of international harmonization of methods and data required, and clarification around study design/fit-for-purpose data and the amount of RWD coming from tokenization.
