Alfred Islay Walden Education Alliance onboarded high school, undergraduate, and graduate scholars yesterday. A fourth Sustaining Initiative from the Ethics and Equity will be the Banned Book and Noncanonical Club. We call this initiative Nonviolent Intellectual Resistance. More to follow... Alfred Islay Walden Education Alliance is advancing its next sustaining initiative, focusing on the future of DEI. Addressing DEI is crucial as it has always been a personnel issue. When organizations embark on reconstructing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, it's essential to consider the following universal questions: - How can we ensure equal opportunities for all individuals within the organization? - What measures can be taken to promote a more inclusive and welcoming environment? - Are there any existing biases or barriers that need to be addressed to enhance diversity and equity? - How can we actively involve employees from diverse backgrounds in decision-making processes? - What steps can be implemented to create a culture that values and respects differences among team members? These fundamental questions serve as a cornerstone for organizations seeking to revamp their DEI strategies and foster a more inclusive workplace environment. During Women's' Appreciation Month, Aline Nunes will conduct a webinar on the contributions of Afro-Caribbean Women. Aline and I collaborate on her debut on the national public scene, paying homage to the resilience, perseverance, beauty, and wonder of the women of her native land. I challenge all clergy, civil rights leaders, humanitarians, and community organizers to rethink the Life and Legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Come on, 2025 Cohort.
