Pioneering the use of art, creativity, and creative technologies ?to champion autistic individuals.
关于我们
Islands of Brilliance (IOB) is a learning experience developed specifically for children and young adults on the autism spectrum. Rather than expect students to adapt to the environment, we created the ideal environment. IOB utilizes project-based learning that allows our students to grow their intrinsic capabilities and practice communication, increasing their likelihood of independence as adults. Our student-focused programming is rooted in art, design, and STEaM-based curriculum. It helps children and young adults learn valuable technical skills, practice critical social and emotional learning competencies, all within a supported environment. Best of all, our students have a place to share their unique voice, ideas, and creativity alongside peers that relate, understand, and motivate.

We're not able to do what we do without the support of brilliant donors, corporate sponsors, and individuals like Campe + Co. Thank you so much for your support. Together, we're making brilliant connections!
Last week, Campe + Co. was beyond proud to sponsor A Brilliant Evening in support of Islands of Brilliance at Lupi & Iris. If you’re not already familiar with their work, Islands of Brilliance provides neurodivergent kids and young adults with creativity-centered programs that unlock confidence, self-expression, and opportunity. Rooted in art, design, and STEaM, their student-focused programming equips participants with the tools they need to increase their chances of future independence—all within a deeply supportive environment. We’re thrilled to share that, together, we exceeded our fundraising goal for the event! But the work doesn’t stop there. The more support this incredible organization receives, the more lives they can transform. With Giving Tuesday just around the corner, we encourage everyone to consider donating to Islands of Brilliance and help them continue creating opportunities for neurodivergent individuals to shine. https://lnkd.in/gJywnqK #CreativityUnleashed #Neurodiversity #GivingTuesday

Thrilled to share this heartwarming story from WSAW TELEVISION about how The Fellowship is making a difference in Tomahawk, Wisconsin! ?? Meet twins Kollin and Klayton Krueger, digital artists and YouTubers who are finding creative connection through our weekly workshops / art labs. Under the guidance of Deb Wall, our Brilliant Fellow with nearly four decades of special education experience, they're not just creating art – they're building community. From decorating coffee sleeves to expanding their digital art skills, our Fellowship participants are showing how creativity can bridge gaps and strengthen communities. As Dr. Brian Weiland notes in the article, it's about celebrating and understanding neurodivergent perspectives, not "fixing" them. This is why we created The Fellowship – to bring IOB's proven methodologies to communities, fostering acceptance, building confidence, and unlocking creative potential. We're incredibly proud to shine a spotlight on our own Sandra Lomeli, whose dedication to the autism community was recently featured on TMJ4 News! ?? https://lnkd.in/gpmamDD3 Sandra, a mother of two adult children with autism, has taken her personal experience and transformed it into a powerful force for good. Recognizing the invaluable support she received from other parents during challenging times, Sandra was instrumental in creating our Brilliant Mornings support group. This free monthly gathering is more than just a meeting—it's a lifeline for parents and caregivers navigating the complex world of autism. As Sandra beautifully puts it, "Somebody helped me... I felt compelled to pay that forward where I can." Sandra, you're amazing! We love how you've transformed your personal challenges into community strengths. Want to join this supportive community? Bank Five Nine presented Islands of Brilliance with a $1,000 donation for their annual Monster Bash. This spooktacular event will take place on Saturday, October 26th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, 325 W. Walnut St. in Milwaukee. Everyone in and around the Milwaukee area is invited to an experience that proves art is for everyone, and at their Monster Bash, everyone belongs. The evening will feature music, a dance floor, sensor experiences, art projects, and more.
