  • ?? ICYMI ??: To mark International Women’s Day on March 8, 2025, ISGAP hosted a symposium in the Woolf Institute, Cambridge, chaired by Manel Msalmi, an ISGAP researcher and President of the European Association for the Defense of Minorities. This symposium featured a survivor of the October 7th pogrom, Natalie Sanadaji (Public Affairs Officer, Combat Antisemitism Movement), who powerfully stated: "One of those major tactics is the use of sexual violence against women as a war tool... They weaponize sexual violence specifically against women because they want to take that light away from whatever group of people they’re attacking." Alongside Sanadaji, leading scholars and policy experts Professor Yifat Biton (President, Achva Academic College, Israel; Co-Founder and Chair, Tmura, The Israeli Center for Equality, Israel) and Dr. Charles Asher Small (Executive Director, ISGAP and ISGAP-Woolf Institute Fellowship Training Programme in Critical Contemporary Antisemitism Studies, Woolf Institute, Cambridge, UK; Research Associate, St Edmund’s College, University of Cambridge, UK) provided critical insights. The discussion delved into the intersection of sexual violence and contemporary antisemitism, as well as the response of the feminist movement to Hamas’ sexual violence.
