Did you know ISEF has a partnership with the Prime Minister's Office through the "Science Builds Society" program? This initiative promotes academic and social excellence and provides scholarships to talented students from Israel’s periphery studying technology, science, engineering, and mathematics. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu praised the program, stating: “'Science Builds Society' is not just a slogan, it’s an idea that emphasizes how important it is to connect the world of science with society. They build each other, they complement each other.” Through this partnership, ISEF and the Prime Minister's Office are ensuring that students from underserved communities gain access to higher education in STEM fields. The scholarships empower these students to break barriers and contribute to Israel's continued leadership in innovation and technology. ISEF Formula for Success -> Overcome challenges + Support Students = Thrive! Meet Yarin Sultan is an ISEF scholar and a mother of three from Sderot who had to relocate to Jerusalem due to the war. Today, Yarin works as an organizational consultant at Intel and is pursuing her PhD at Ben Gurion University Career Center ????? ?????? ?????? ?????????? ?? ?????? . Her journey hasn’t been easy. After her father passed away from cancer, Yarin took on the responsibility of supporting her younger siblings as her mother was unwell. When she first began her studies, she felt different from her peers, facing what she calls the "resource gap," "knowledge gap," and "social capital gap." She had to work, relied on scholarships, and even struggled with English-language materials. Through ISEF, Yarin found a supportive community that helped her bridge these gaps. Surrounded by people who encouraged her, she gained the confidence and resources she needed to excel. A ripple of impact can start with one committed leader—especially when they have the backing to grow. Meet Omer Doron, an ISEF International Fellow pursuing his MBA at Stanford University. Growing up in Rehovot, Omer began his academic journey at just 15, later serving in Israel’s elite 8200 unit. Today, he’s channeling that drive into powerful advocacy on campus. Following the events of October 7th, Omer took action, launching an initiative to counter misinformation about Israel.
