关于我们
A mission-driven art advisory focused on the cultural stewardship of Black contemporary art. Through our advisory services and programming with partners, ISE-DA has a holistic approach to cultural stewardship. We aim to cultivate a pioneering generation of Black collectors invested in the social and financial growth of cultural hubs in Black communities. With the principles of cultivation, education, and reimagination, ISE-DA uses art collecting as a starting point to invest in and support the global development of Black cultural production.

Earlier this month, we hosted an event in partnership with ISE-DA at the 2045 Clubhouse featuring designer Brandon Blackwood, Founder, Creative Director, and CEO of his namesake brand, and visual artist Tschabalala Self. During the course of the night, Self and Blackwood spoke with moderator Jenée-Daria Strand about cultural stewardship, entrepreneurship, creative relationships and strategies for supporting emerging talent. Two key takeaways from the night: 1) As your career progresses, support newcomers however you can. 2) Support isn’t always financial — information-sharing, advocacy, and amplification are powerful forms of assistance that can ignite someone's career or open new opportunities for them. 2045 Studio provides members with a space where they can feel supported and empowered to take the next step in their careers. Last month, we hosted a fireside chat with Black Trustee Alliance for Art Museums and 2045 Studio on pathways to building an art collection. 2045 Members learned how to support value-driven artists, the wider impacts of supporting Black artists on the art market, and the global diasporic community, and left with ideas about how to begin building a strategy for art collecting.
