ISC’s Mobile Training Lab launched in February of this year and has allowed us to provide on-demand, site-precise training to fit the needs of our jobsites across the country. It also enables us to be onsite performing Performance Verifications on Electricians, Instrument Fitters, and Instrument Technicians. In addition to being a resource for our associates, it allows us to show high school students what a career in construction is all about! This tool is well-worth the investment by closing the skill gap with training that can help associates develop themselves and improve performance. #PoweredByPeople

Last week GBRIA hosted our inaugural Educator Externship Program. Our 2024 class included over 60 high school educators from 12 school districts. During the externship experience, the class learned about all facets of industry, namely: safety, health, emergency response, the products local facilities help produce, and the plethora of high-wage, high-demand careers available to their students. The class engaged with contractors to do a deep dive into the crafts and training. Thanks to Pelican Chapter, Associated Builders and Contractors for hosting us and to our tour guides who spoke to each group of educators about craft careers: Brown & Root Industrial Services, LLC, CAM Industrial Solutions LLC, ISC Constructors, L.L.C., MMR Group, PALA Interstate, Performance Contractors, The Newtron Group (Triad), Turner Industries, Westgate LLC, and Zachry Group. Each educator was sponsored by a GBRIA member, who took their externs on a tour of their site, where they learned how industrial sites operate and met with the men and women who come together each day to work safely and bring the products the world needs to fruition. This past weekend we celebrated our 35th anniversary! We invited all of our associates and their families and were thrilled to see so many come from out of state to celebrate with us. We had such an incredible time eating great food, giving away raffle prizes, and celebrating our accomplishments through the years. We are proud of where we are after 35 amazing years, and we know the best is still ahead of us! Thank you to everyone who helped us get here!
