Due to inclement weather, tomorrow's volunteer event at Empowerment Factory (4/20/2024) will be cancelled. Look for potential future volunteer efforts as we try to coordinate more events, weather permitting. Apologies for the unfortunate circumstances. We look forward to seeing you at the next event.

As a way to celebrate Earth Day, the RI Chapter of ISC2 will join The Empowerment Factory to cleanup and beautify the Baldwin Loop, a 2-mile walking path in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Pawtucket, on Saturday, April 20, from noon to 2 p.m. The walking path goes by Baldwin Elementary School, Payne Park, the Little Sisters of the Poor, the Woodlawn Community Center, and Hope Artiste Village. At the cleanup, volunteers will pick up trash along the route, clear the sewer drains from trash and debris, plan for the future planting of trees and attend to the needs of a pollinator garden at Baldwin Elementary School. Volunteers should meet at the Empowerment Factory at Hope Artiste Village, 999 Main St., Suite #707, in Pawtucket, at 12 p.m. and will gather into small teams. All ages and abilities welcome. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves and bags, though some limited numbers will be available. Snacks will be provided. Great community service!
