I’m excited to share that our team won second place in today’s Cyber-Security Competition organized by the ISOM Department! It was an intense but fun experience, where we worked on cracking passwords and hacking systems created by our professors, Yuanxiang John LI Yurong "Chrisy" Yao. A huge thanks to them for making this event both challenging and memorable! Everyone brought their best, and the energy was amazing. Nine teams comprised of over 30 talented undergrad and grad students from Finance and Business Analytics recently showcased their analytical prowess in the Insight Quest 2024: Business Analytics Challenge competition! ?? In an intense 24 hours, participants delved deep into predicting loan default risks, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and problem-solving skills. With over 100 variables to dissect and analyze, including transactional histories, applicant demographics, and credit bureau data, the challenge pushes the boundaries of analytical prowess to new heights! ???? We extend our deepest appreciation to Professor Kate Li and Professor Hasan Arslan for their exemplary guidance and tireless efforts in making this event happen.
