Over the last week, I've been highlighting the amazing presentations on the 2025 ISACA Omaha Chapter Spring Seminar. Today, I'm writing to thank our generous sponsors. Trend Micro is sponsoring our Featured Presentation, which will introduce the themes that will be developed over the rest of the day. As a small chapter, it would be difficult for us to bring in an out-of-state speaker, so I am grateful to Nicole Gandy for making it possible for attendees to learn from Scarlett Menendez. I strongly encourage all attendees to make it a point to visit Dan Grenier at the company's exhibitor table to express their own gratitude, learn about the fantastic cybersecurity solutions, and maybe even win a raffle prize! Please note that that virtual attendees will also have the chance to engage with Dan (more details in a couple of weeks). GuidePoint Security and TEKsystems are co-sponsoring the breakfast and networking event. Their support is making it possible to enhance the quality of the refreshments served at these times. TEKsystems is also providing volunteers to help the event run smoothly. I am so grateful to Bret Brasfield and Emma Osowski for sincerely wanting to help make this year's event the best one ever! Finally, a shout out goes to LFG Security Consulting for helping make the closing keynote presentation from Kevin Hamilton a reality! I hope we, as a community, can turn out in person or online to reward all these sponsors' support for the event. You can register by March 25 at https://lnkd.in/gkmxxJP8. Rates are $150 (Regular) or $25 (Student). Please reach out at [email protected] with any questions.

  • You certainly don't want to miss this unique presentation (or the rest of the program either, for that matter!) so register at https://lnkd.in/gkmxxJP8 to guarantee your spot before the March 25 deadline. Both in-person and virtual options are available!

The closing keynote presentation of the 2025 ISACA Omaha Chapter Spring Seminar will be a look at the impact of quantum computing on our industry, including the development of AI. Given the growing number of opinions on this hot topic, we are fortunate to get insights directly from Kevin Hamilton, whose experience makes him a bona fide expert. Kevin will tie in themes introduced in Trend Micro's Featured Presentation and developed over the subsequent concurrent presentations before sending attendees out prepared to face the rapid changes we should all expect to see in our work. Oh, and (spoiler), this will probably lay the foundation for the 2026 program... You certainly don't want to miss this unique presentation (or the rest of the program either, for that matter!) so register at https://lnkd.in/gkmxxJP8 to guarantee your spot before the March 25 deadline. Both in-person and virtual options are available for $150 (Regular) or $25 (Student). Please reach out at [email protected] with any questions!

The 2025 ISACA Omaha Chapter Spring Seminar program includes a concurrent session at 2:00 PM. Attendees can choose from two great presentations to attend. If you're in management or plan to be someday, FNBO Executive Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer Nick Baxter will provide important information that you're going to want to provide to your organization's executive team if you want them to accept the risks associated with AI-based tools. This presentation will follow a fireside chat format, starting with some moderated questions before turning the mic over to the audience. If you have a SOC or similar role, you may want to learn about how to protect your organization from the threats associated with deepfakes. Three rising stars in the cybersecurity industry (Rabbiat A., Victor Patterson Sr, & Maria Chano) will introduce some innovative strategies to protect against this rapidly emerging risk. Registration closes March 25 so secure your in-person or virtual spot today at https://lnkd.in/gkmxxJP8 for $150 (Regular) or $25 (Student)! Please reach out at [email protected] with any questions.

As I've shared the last few days (see https://lnkd.in/g-bc6W-W, https://lnkd.in/g2ubCXTY, & https://lnkd.in/gR4AKvMX), the 2025 ISACA Omaha Chapter Spring Seminar program will have a morning full of great presentations. Attendees (both in-person and virtual) will then have an opportunity to relax and network over lunch (generously co-sponsored by GuidePoint Security & TEKsystems) before getting some important chapter updates from President Jason Boche. Over dessert, though, they'll get a thrilling 30-minute presentation on the GenAI Revolution from the dynamic duo of Nick Bennet and Max Clouatre. I have no doubt that everyone will head off to the afternoon sessions wowed by these two FNBO superstars! With registration closing on March 25, please hurry over to https://lnkd.in/gkmxxJP8 and register today for only $150 (Regular) or $25 (Student). Again, both in-person and virtual attendees will get to experience the luncheon networking, chapter updates, and presentation (nothing I can do about feeding the virtual attendees, unfortunately...). Please reach out at [email protected] with any questions.

In the hopes of providing options for attendees with different interests, the 2025 ISACA Omaha Chapter Spring Seminar will include concurrent sessions. Yesterday (see https://lnkd.in/g2ubCXTY), I highlighted the morning sessions' data security presentations. If that just isn't your thing, you can choose to learn about protecting critical infrastructure. At 10:10 AM, Warren Hagelstien will explain how the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency can help you protect critical infrastructure FROM AI. At 11:30 AM, Chidi Agbo, Ph.D. will explain how you can protect critical infrastructure WITH AI. By attending both presentations, you will quickly realize how GenAI really is a double-edged sword as described in the morning's Featured Presentation from Trend Micro! Of course, you can also mix and match presentations to learn about data security AND protecting critical infrastructure. Registration closes March 25 so head over to https://lnkd.in/gkmxxJP8 ASAP to register to attend either in-person or online. Registration rates are $150 (Regular) and $25 (Student). Please reach out to me at [email protected] with any questions.

Then, at 11:30 AM, Patrick W. will provide a deeper look at securing data within the new AI-dominated era. Want to attend one or both? Hurry to https://lnkd.in/gkmxxJP8 and register by March 25!
