This past week, our crew was on site at the historic First Church in Roxbury. Constructed in 1804, it is considered the oldest wooden frame church in Boston.?Extensive damage from subterranean rot, including a compromised foundation,?had caused?the building to?sink.?Isaac Blair?was tasked with?installing?specialty?shoring?in order to?safely jack up the columns?and?structure a total of 2 inches. A?structural?engineer on site oversaw the work to?help?ensure?that?no?additional?damage?to the structure?occurred?during this carefully planned process.?
