Your career reentry experts

关于我们

iRelaunch is all about getting professionals returning from career break back to work. We are the pioneering leader in the career re-entry space, and have been since our founding in 2007. We work with companies to build and expand return to work programs, and we provide individuals who are looking to return to work after a career break – “relaunchers" – with tools and resources to make the transition effectively. We work with over 250 global companies on career re-entry programs of all kinds – involving mid-career internships or hiring returning professionals directly into full time roles, and also career re-entry event-based programs. We have over 100,000 returning professionals in our community and have delivered over 1,000 career re-entry programs and presentations since inception. Our 3,2,1 iRelaunch podcast has nearly 600,000 downloads and over 250 episodes have been released so far. The STEM Reentry Task Force initiative we co-lead with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) expanded from seven founding member companies in 2015 to 41 companies in 2023, including Aerospace Corporation, Apple, ADM, Bechtel, Boeing, Boston Fed, Caterpillar, Cummins, JPL, Johnson & Johnson, Kellogg's, Northrop Grumman, Procter & Gamble, Raytheon Technologies and more. The programs are scaling across business lines, domestically and internationally. Our iRelaunch Return to Work Conference, which has been held 33 times since 2008, draws a combined audience of over 14,000 attendees. We are regularly featured in the national press, including Good Morning America, The TODAY Show, CNN, National Public Radio, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, TED, Forbes, Fast Company, and Harvard Business Review. iRelaunch is certified as a woman-owned business by the WBENC.

SMBC recently hosted an orientation for the first cohort in our ‘Back to You!’ Returnship Program, which this year involves our Technology, Internal Audit, Accounting, and Strategic Credit Products teams. The cohort had the opportunity to meet with SMBC Americas Chief Human Resources Officer Robin Milberg, and gained insights about our workplace culture, employee-led Enterprise Resource Groups (ERGs) and how to best succeed in the financial services and investment banking industry. SMBC’s ‘Back to You!’ Returnship Program provides a collaborative environment for women reentering the workforce to network with business leaders and hone their skills for potential full-time roles. Team SMBC would like to extend a warm welcome to our debut cohort! #TeamSMBC #Returnship #Internships

Normalizing Career Breaks. Builder of employer career reentry programs, leader of the iRelaunch community, host of the award-winning 3,2,1 iRelaunch podcast, relauncher/11-year career break, HBR contributor

Tip # 4 for those of you #laidoff by the #federalgovernment or elsewhere – do not job search alone. Identify a “relaunch buddy” or “relaunch group” to job search with and meet with them regularly. It will keep the process from becoming too isolating, and be better for your mental health and the pace of your job search process #CareerReentry #CareerBreak #iRelaunch cc iRelaunch

?? Returners are not only an EXCEPTIONAL talent pool but THEY also STAY - retention numbers are coming in consistently higher than average.? ?? Even during the 2008 Great Recession—from which we didn’t fully emerge until 2013—every time we hosted our iRelaunch Return to Work Conference, we saw MORE employers join as sponsors, even if they were in the midst of a hiring freeze. ?? They participated because they were FORWARD-THINKING, focused on PIPELINE BUILDING, and securing exceptional talent for when hiring resumed. ??Today, amid ongoing uncertainty, we urge #employers to once again adopt a forward-looking approach and invest in building talent pipelines for the future!??

Corporate Leader | Social Worker | Driving Corporate Success with Social Impact: Fusing Business Acumen and Compassionate Change-Making | Creative Catalyst Driving Innovation and Excellence

It was 8:30 AM in the morning, I started my day in the comfort of my home office—laptop open, tea ready, and the world at my fingertips. For many of us, flexibility in how and where we work has become a game-changer. But not long ago, a close colleague of mine was facing a very different challenge—the challenge of returning to the workforce after a significant career break. Jyoti, a talented project manager, had stepped away from her career for a few years to focus on personal growth and take time to pursue other interests. After her break, she found herself eager to re-enter the workforce, but like so many women in similar situations, she was unsure how to navigate the transition back into a fast-paced career after time away. Her first concern? The stigma often attached to career breaks, especially in high-demand industries. The idea of having to “prove” herself all over again felt daunting. The reality is that 43% of women in the U.S. take career breaks, often for reasons like caregiving or education. Yet, 56% of those women say they would return to work if given more flexibility. But Jyoti’s story isn’t one of struggle—it’s one of resilience, reinvention, and the power of flexible work environments. Her return journey began with a company that truly understood the importance of supporting employees at every stage of their careers, including those re-entering after a break. The company offered Jyoti a part-time, remote role to help her gradually ease back into the workforce without feeling overwhelmed. It’s no surprise that 71% of employees say flexibility helps them maintain a better work-life balance, something Jyoti quickly realized. This flexibility gave her the time and space to rediscover her professional identity, build confidence, and reintegrate into the team. Over time, Jyoti was able to transition back into a full-time role, now leading large projects and mentoring younger employees. She often shares that it was the flexible work options and the supportive culture at her workplace that made all the difference. Her story serves as a reminder that the decision to step away from a career doesn’t define someone’s future potential. With the right kind of support and understanding, anyone can make a successful return—without sacrificing their personal aspirations. For companies, this is a powerful reminder that embracing flexible work, offering career re-entry programs, and being open to different career paths can benefit both individuals and the organization. It’s about creating an environment where people can thrive, no matter their background or where they’ve been. Jyoti’s story is proof that we all have the power to redefine our careers on our own terms. iRelaunch Goldman Sachs SAP Microsoft Deloitte IBM Citi JPMorganChase LinkedIn Adobe #WomenInTheWorkplace #CareerBreaks #WomenEmpowerment #FlexibleWork #SupportWorkingMothers #WorkLifeBalance
