We are excited to announce that our work on the Ipswich River Sewer Siphon and Interceptor project has received the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA)’s Green Steps Award at the Annual Conference in Boston, which recognizes a #municipality that is committed to innovation and sustainability within the #wastewater industry. This project used nature-based solutions to protect critical sewer infrastructure and improve resiliency along the Ipswich River. Town of Ipswich's Water & Wastewater Director, Vicki Halmen and Water & Wastewater Operations Manager, Emily Sadoway worked tirelessly on this project for many years including design, permitting, and construction to protect our infrastructure, Ipswich River, Great Marsh, shellfish beds and beaches.
