5?? years ago exactly, #France entered an indefinite lockdown due to the #COVID pandemic. It was a unique, anxiety-inducing, deadly, and freedom-restricting time. I have so many offbeat memories (I was lucky not to have any victims in my close circle): ?? Showing a police officer on horseback in the Parisian streets my authorization to leave the house, signed by... myself ?? Juggling work and home-schooling with a strict schedule: 8:30 am - 10:00 am, homework and lessons, 10:00 am, recess, 10:30 am - 12:00 am, homework and correction. Noon sharp, school ended (my 3 children were very very vigilant).? ?? Doing jumping jacks with the family in the living room, realizing my wife has better abs than me. ?? Holding Sunday calls with the Ipsos France executive committee to address activity freezes, health procedures, financial impacts, and HR emergencies. ?? Enjoying a daily #aperitif with my wife while watching the news. ??♂? Running down an empty #ChampsElysées, right in the middle, with no cars or pedestrians between the Arc de Triomphe and the Place de la Concorde & raising my arms to the sky as if thousands of people were cheering me on. ??? Organizing daily calls with my team #CX, using homemade backgrounds by my kids (see photos) to pretend I was at the beach or in the mountains, all while supporting young colleagues in their studios.. ?? Laughing at jokes on #socialmedia and sharing them with family and friends (my two best ones are in comment, I am still laughing when I watch them). ? Ah... #socialmedia... It receives much criticism these days for #addiction, hatred, and #misinformation, but during the #lockdown, it was our only "social" connection, a wellspring of laughter and convivial moments.?? ??Five years later, 5.4 billion adults use social media daily to share their lives, thoughts, joys, and annoyances. And we, Ipsos Synthesio, #Social & #Search Intelligence, are proud to help companies better understand these voices so they can make informed decisions. 5??years ago exactly...
