This month we caught up with Tia, Client Finance Analyst, based in the UK. Read on to discover what makes her proud to be a part of our network, her greatest achievements and her go-to Karaoke song???? #MedCommsCareers #MeetTheTeam ?? Hey Tia! Tell us a bit about you. As a Client Finance Analyst, I analyze the revenue for the agency I look after. This involves producing monthly reports, working closely with Client Services and giving support and guidance to the agency on any financial matters based on trends and data analysis. ?? What do you love most about your role? I love that we work closely with teams other than finance, as it allows me to see a different perspective of what we do at IPG Health Med Comms and how each role links together to form a bigger picture. I also love having the responsibility of overseeing an agency from a financial point of view. And although my role isn’t directly involved with clients, it’s still extremely rewarding to be part of a team that helps make a difference to patients’ lives. ?? What has been your biggest achievement to date? My greatest work-related achievement would be my development in this role. Prior to working here, I had very minimal experience in an analysis role, so I am proud of how far I have come since. I have had incredible support and guidance along the way and I look forward to what the future brings for me working here. My greatest non-work related achievement to date would be the purchase of my own place 3 years ago at 24 years old. Since then, I have made it super homely and now feel very comfortable living in this new town ?? ?? What do you wish you had known when you were younger? “Everything happens for a reason”. ?? How do you look after your own wellbeing? I love spending time with friends & family. I have also recently gotten into reading and running (I have booked my first 10k in May). And plenty of “me time”!! ?? ?? How would your friends and family describe you in 3 words? Dependable, Trustworthy, Driven. ?? What’s your go-to Karaoke song? Whitney Houston – I Wanna Dance With Somebody.

?? Meet Carrie, Client Service Director for CMC Connect | An IPG Health Company, based in the UK. Read on to discover what makes her proud to be a part of IPG Health, and how she found her way into Medical Communications ???♀? ???? ?? ???? ? Can you give us a brief summary of what you do in your role? In my role, I’m responsible for a growing portfolio of oncology business. A key part of my role is working closely with the team, building strong client partnerships and recommending new and innovation solutions to drive organic growth. ? What brought you to med comms? I actually trained as a Speech and Language Therapist, but after university I found myself working firstly as a runner for a TV company and then as a junior in an advertising agency. I learned about medical communications through a chance meeting at a coffee shop. It offered the perfect mix of a fast-paced and creative environment that complemented my love of science and desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives. The rest is history! ? What makes you proud to work for IPG Health Medical Communications? It’s a privilege to spend my working hours surrounded by smart, creative and committed professionals, with a shared goal to deliver excellence for our clients. ? What has been your biggest achievement to date? Learning to be a parent! It’s a constant learning curve, but it brings the biggest rewards. ? What do you like to do when you’re not working? I have always enjoyed cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. I have a young daughter with coeliac disease and I have enjoyed the challenge of creating new things for us to eat as a family, so she doesn’t feel like she is missing out on anything. ? How do you look after your own well-being? Spending time outside is an important way to switch off. That can mean setting off for the day on a long walk or something as simple as a cup of tea (or a G&T) in the garden. ? List three words to best describe you... Dedicated, approachable, considered. ? If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be? Detective. I love crime dramas and problem-solving. ? Tell us something about you that might surprise people I’m pretty good at DIY; there isn’t much I haven’t had a go at.
