We recently conducted a seminar in Dhaka, Bangladesh, focusing on Partial Discharge (PD) and failure prevention in power networks. The session was attended by professionals from the transmission, distribution, and private sectors, aiming to spread awareness and share knowledge with the power generation industry. In this #PDKnowledge one of our ASM monitors detected an increase in PD activity, triggering immediate alarms and a site investigation. During the internal inspection, we identified damage to the insulators, which, if left unaddressed, would have resulted in a flashover. This video, filmed during the inspection, highlights the damage to the insulators that was found. With timely action, the necessary steps needed to repair and prevent any further damage and risk can be put in place. We've shared similar footage before, showcasing the importance of proactive maintenance and how our team ensures systems are always operating at their best.
