Check out an exciting new paper from Paul Bollyky and colleagues, published in Nature Communications! It explores how soil bacteria develop resistance to phages. Researchers found that bacteria evolve CRISPR-Cas immune systems more readily under nutrient-rich conditions, revealing new insights into #microbialevolution and phage-bacteria dynamics.
