The IPAA team sends our condolences to the family of Rep. Sylvester Turner, the former mayor of Houston. Turner was a strong supporter of energy education in the Houston area and was pivotal in Houston’s successful bid to host the World Petroleum Congress in 2020. He was honored at IPAA's 2018 Wildcatters' Ball for his contributions to the future of the industry, and also attended the ball in 2017.
