Urgent: Contact your Representative today to oppose H.R. 9495, a bill that threatens nonprofit integrity, due process, and tax-exempt status protections. H.R. 9495 threatens nonprofits by allowing the Treasury Secretary to label 501(c) organizations as “terrorist-supporting” without disclosing evidence. The bill undermines due process by shifting the burden of proof to nonprofits and giving them just 90 days to contest the designation before losing tax-exempt status.
