With 100% of his students being identified as at-risk of not completing high school, he is dedicated to the mission of ensuring they have access to educational success and the skills they need to be future ready. He helped to create the METRO STEAM Academy as a way to help students experience learning through community and project-based opportunities. This includes a collaboration that allows students to run a small business and manufacture products for four events throughout the years. He will receive $1,500 for his classroom and $1,500 for personal use, thanks to Google. Congratulations, Mr. Tonelli!
