We're Mapping Minds and Shaping the World! Our Outside Plant engineers use GIS Software to blend human creativity with technology to support ICN's efforts and to assist our partners and customers. This tool is instrumental in mapping fiber routes, strategizing network expansions, and coordinating fiber relocations for construction and upcoming projects. Additionally, it plays a crucial role in identifying fiber cuts, enabling swift restoration of services. #workatICN We appreciate the teamwork between people and technology that makes this possible and celebrate #GISDay by acknowledging their hard work and innovation.

We're making it easier for Iowans to reach the right department faster! The Iowa Utilities Commission (IUC) has significantly reduced costs by consolidating four separate vendors into a single communication system, all made possible through ICN's collaboration with Zoom. This new setup, which features @Zoom One along with a contact center and phone services, allows callers to reach the specific utility they require directly. This means shorter wait times and no more frustrating transfers. Discover more about this great change in our case study: https://lnkd.in/gnjAtSdG

This month's #IowaSYBAC showcased Matthew Miller from Iowa Department of Transportation who provided valuable insights into automated vehicles and traffic flow, along with some of his own drone piloting photos. He covered upcoming initiatives that involve AI, traffic management, and the integration of self-driving tech with civil engineering, road planning, and shared the workflow his team uses to get things done. We had three students present interesting tech news articles with the group and ICN's Business Services Director Stephanie Devault joined us to discuss the impact of cyber attacks on various sectors and their customers.
