On #RareCancerDay, we would like to raise awareness of some of the rarer melanoma subtypes including ocular, mucosal, pediatric and acral lentiginous melanoma. Not as common as cutaneous (skin) melanoma, these subtypes of melanoma are rarely caused due to sun exposure and may not benefit from drugs that are effective for cutaneous melanoma. More research and awareness are desperately needed for these rarer melanoma subtypes and as such the MRF has sponsored several awareness campaigns, meetings and grants in these areas. #EyeGetDilated #OutoftheShadows #SpotTheDog #Acral

I'm so grateful that Alyssa Sy, Ashley Gallego and Elizabeth Gonzalez saw me speak in Tampa back in March and believed in the power of #TheRippleEffect. We just wrapped up an amazing day at their site at The Navy Yard in Philadelphia with a private tour of their facility, a talk for their employees and a two-hour workshop with a group of their leaders. There were tears, hugs, laughs, and 10 lbs of pebbles that I somehow managed to get through TSA ?? Thank you for the incredible hospitality and for trusting in me!
