Federal student loan borrowers will soon be able to enroll in PAYE and ICR again. The U.S. Department of Education ?closed enrollment on July 1, 2024 when SAVE was rolled out. However, due to the #SAVE plan's court injunction, ED has decided to change the enrollment date for ICR and PAYE to July 1, 2027. This rule should go into effect on or around December 15th. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau released a report with survey findings related to student loan borrowers' difficulties with repayment following the end of the COVID-19 repayment pause.
