Tech Chat ?? iodyne Pro Data is the fastest Thunderbolt storage for M1 Macs, and the fastest Thunderbolt RAID array. I've been trying to get hands on with this tech for some time now! Pre-season F1 in Bahrain gave me and the team that opportunity this year, and they didn't disappoint. This project involved DITs, with multiple editors all needing to offload and edit mountains of camera media as quickly as possible. Cameras capturing everything somewhere between 4-8K resolution depending on the camera use/position, and up to 700fps, the Pro Data made this a breeze in our use case and all units were rock solid. The multi-user versatility allowed us to share storage space and handoff tasks across the team and multiple workstations with amazing efficiency. Seriously impressive bit of kit which supercharged our workflow. Big thanks to Robert Stacy & John Bradley for getting three of these beasts for me to put to work for a couple of weeks with the Whisper team. Interested in more info, check out what these guys do! LED production stages don’t come much bigger than the ARRI Stage in London– and there aren’t many better cameras for virtual production than the Canon EOS C400. We joined forces with DoP and director Brett Danton to create a series of immersive worlds with the creative team at WPP.
