When Christina Reyes asked me to consider being a board member Inwood Academy for Leadership Charter School I felt so honored. Over the weekend the school leadership team presented their vision, their strategy and mostly their magic. Their magic that brings together a community, of investing in leaders and being kind. When I look back at my own journey I was one of those English Language Learners and my mother taught us that many things can and will be taken from you in life but not your education and commitment to growth. I still feel honored and in awe of all the teachers, students and leaders at Inwood Academy for Leadership Charter School!
