Dr. Jim Lalonde: From two years and 25 scientists to a few scientists for a few months "When I started out in 2004, that was the early days of enzyme engineering while we were still developing the tools at that point. One of the projects we worked on was Lipitor [...] I think it was $14 billion a year revenue. [...] The challenges with those kind of programs was that it was two years and 25 scientists to do one enzyme. It was a big, big spend. Now, with Invizyne, it's a few scientists for few months that can do an enzyme. So it'really a couple of orders of magnitude reduction in the amount of RD because of the the tools have gotten so much better. Invizyne is one of the recent success stories of MDB Capital and their proven public venture capital model for funding innovation. Invizyne has an innovative cell-free enzyme-based biomanufacturing platform that has been proven effective in the production of natural ingredients, pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, and biofuels.
