#Investcorp hosted the Nexus Conference 2025 in Tokyo, in association with the Japan Private Equity Association (JPEA). The conference, which followed the theme of the next generation and investment, was attended by over 200 industry experts and featured keynote speeches by Prof. Heizo Takenaka, Mr. Ryosuke Iinuma, Chairman of JPEA, and Habib Abdur-Rahman, Investcorp's Global Head of Sustainability. The event also featured three panel discussions, moderated by Prof. Tsuyoshi Mizuguchi, Dean of Takasaki City University of Economics, Ms. Michiyo Morisawa, PRI Japan, and Shun Tanahashi, Head of Investcorp Japan. The discussions throughout the day featured opinions from young professionals, lawyers and Japanese local PE professionals. In 2024, GCC sovereign wealth funds deployed $55 billion across 126 transactions, showcasing strong deal flow. We launched the Investcorp Golden Horizon platform, targeting $1 billion to invest in high-growth companies across the GCC and China, backed by the China Investment Corporation (CIC). This platform aims to invest 70% of its capital into the GCC and 30% on China, emphasizing sectors like consumer goods, healthcare, logistics, and business services.
