We haven’t changed our portfolio positioning this month, so we’re still favoring bonds and quality US stocks. ? Markets got the clarity they craved with Donald Trump’s decisive victory in the US presidential election. Chief Global Market Strategist Kristina Hooper discusses what markets are watching next in her latest Weekly Market Compass. https://inves.co/3YUU2VL

September brought mixed performance in the #commodities market, with agriculture and metals sectors posting gains, while energy prices dipped, except for natural gas. Escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and China’s surprise stimulus look likely to play a key role in driving future prices. Looking ahead, the Federal Reserve’s easing cycle and the results of the US election will likely have a significant impact on #commodity movements in the final quarter of 2024. For a detailed sector-by-sector breakdown from our specialists, read more here: https://inves.co/4feJKFG

Chief Global Market Strategist Kristina Hooper shares her thoughts from today's #FederalReserve meeting.
The Federal Reserve (Fed) unanimously decided to cut rates by 25 basis points at its November meeting, and Fed Chair Jay Powell fielded a wide range of questions in his press conference: Why didn’t the Fed pause given recent strong economic data? Will this week’s US election impact monetary policy? My key takeaway: The Fed is confident in its ability to recalibrate policy in response to the data going forward — which means there’s no guarantees for December. The data will decide.

Global Market Strategist Brian Levitt shares his thoughts on what Donald Trump's victory in the US election means for the markets and economy. Click here for more ?? https://inves.co/3YuE4Ac
Election Day has come and gone, and our social media feeds are filled with immediate reactions to the news of Donald Trump’s victory. There are some trends I’m seeing in the overnight market data, but I also caution on reading too much into it. In my view, the most important thing for markets right now is the clarity that comes from knowing the election result. For more on what Trump’s win could mean for the markets, check out the latest insights from my colleagues Kristina Hooper and Andy Blocker: https://inves.co/3YuE4Ac
