Last Wednesday, approximately 29 hours after separation, Inversion received our first pictures from Ray on orbit. Commissioning of Ray so quickly, just over 1 day, is a major accomplishment for our first mission! Ray remains healthy with all systems functioning nominally. Ray's camera is mounted in the red circle, looking along the red arrow. In the image from space, you can see the backshell of the capsule in the foreground and Antarctica in the background.
Ray has established stable communications with mission control at the very first opportunity of doing so. Incredible work by our FSW, GNC, Avionics and propulsion teams.
Ray has successfully launched to orbit and separated from SpaceX Falcon using our in-house separation system. 4 minutes and 21 seconds after separation from Falcon yesterday, Ray established and continues to maintain stable communications with Inversion Mission Control. ?
