Intrinsyx Bio was part of the first cohort of AgTech startups in the Wells Fargo Innovation Incubator (IN2), in collaboration with the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center. The IN2 program recently highlighted our work and its role in the future of sustainable agriculture.
关于我们
At Intrinsyx Bio, we are commercializing 3 decades of the leading academic research in the plant microbiome. Our endophytic microbes cause crop plants, grasses, ornamental plants, and trees to fix Nitrogen (N2) directly from the atmosphere into ammonia which helps improve nutrient use efficiency, supplement synthetic fertilizer requirements, and increase chlorophyll. These microbes live in leaves, stems, roots and don't require a nodule. Our endophyte microbes also mobilize insoluble phosphorous (P2) from soil into roots, as well as increase drought and salt tolerances.

Our UK partner Unium Bioscience Ltd is launching a new version of its biological seed treatment for UK cereals, powered by Intrinsyx biotech, with nitrogen fixing and phosphorus mobilizing endophytes which enhance crop nutrient use efficiency. This webinar features our collaborator Professor Sharon Doty from the University of Washington.
??SAVE THE DATE ?? To celebrate the launch of TIROS Max, Unium is hosting an educational evening on endophytes in collaboration with BOFIN, featuring leading endophyte researchers from the United States. Farmer and agroecology consultant Ben Taylor-Davies (Regen Ben) will dig into the science and application of endophytes in agriculture in a ‘fireside chat’ style webinar with Prof James White and University of Washington ’s Prof Sharon Doty, who discovered the strains of endophyte used in TIROS Max. The event will take place at 6pm on 2nd July and early registration is advised! Last week, our CEO Greg Thompson was invited to present at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center and to participate in a startup panel discussion at the Syngenta Biologicals Summit. We're seeing growing awareness of the importance of endophytes in sustainable agriculture and Intrinsyx Bio's commercial progress!
