Intrepid is now hiring an Aviation Test Engineer to join our team in supporting PEO Aviation. The successful candidate will support all phases of air vehicle testing to include planning, budget management, hardware/software integration, lab testing, flight testing, and status briefing. This position will work closely with the customer, test lead, other government agencies, and vendors to manage multiple test programs from conception/planning to execution/results reporting. Candidates must have a Secret security clearance and be eligible for Top Secret clearance. Additionally, you must have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience. This month, we’re shining a spotlight on Rhett Bates, Systems Software Engineer at Intrepid! In his role, Rhett works on researching and testing new technologies in the lab in Huntsville, with a focus on finding solutions for future aviation software. Rhett has been part of the Intrepid team for three years. “The guys I work with in the lab are my favorite part of working at Intrepid!" he said. "The company does a great job of hiring people who are not only technically skilled but also a lot of fun to be around." One of Rhett’s proud moments at Intrepid was completing his master’s degree. “Intrepid gave me the freedom I needed to pursue further education, and I’m very proud of that accomplishment,” he shared. A few fun facts about Rhett: ?? He has a background as an Arabic Linguist, having worked for the NSA while in the Army. ?? Rhett’s favorite Intrepid event of the year is the Intrepig BBQ! Intrepid celebrated the season in style at our annual DC Thanksgiving gathering! Our National Capital Region employees gathered together for a night of gratitude, connection, and camaraderie.
