?? Project Spotlight: Locust Grove Pump Station ?? Passing through the area on his travels, Jeff Schellhammer, PE captured an image of the completed Locust Grove Pump Station in LaVale, MD. Intrepid Engineers was contracted by Howard Concrete Pumping Company, Inc. to design the temporary support of excavation (SOE) system for this project. The system consisted of tied-back micropile casing soldier piles and a rock bolt-stabilized cut in extremely hard quartzite.
