Intonation works with the youth of Chicago to experience making music on their own terms, leading to personal growth and the enrichment of their communities. Offered in partnership with schools, park districts, and community organizations, our year-round classes make music accessible to children by providing them with instruments, instruction, mentorship, and the chance to perform on stages across the city. Each Intonation student takes part in a personal and team approach to practice, setting goals and problem solving; and over time, they gain the confidence to take charge of their direction and seek out new experiences.

Here's my 2024 LinkedIn Rewind, by Coauthor.studio: Music isn't just notes on a page - it's a pathway to possibility. This year at Intonation Music we didn't just teach music - we unlocked potential, one note at a time. ?? In Bronzeville and across Chicago, we witnessed incredible moments of transformation. Our students didn't just learn chords and rhythms; they discovered their voices, built confidence, and created community. Our 2024 highlights: ? Mixtape Live brought together 16 youth bands, turning Kennicott Park into a celebration of creativity and connection ? Received the Embarc Social Impact Honor, proving that music is a powerful tool for youth development. "We thank Embarc for helping us bring music to more students and truly cherish our partnership with them." ? Expanded free music programs, bringing critical resources to the Greater Bronzeville Community. As we shared: "Happy to be out here supporting New Community Outreach bringing critical resources to the Greater Bronzeville Community and beyond!" ? Our All Star Band electrified the Hard Rock Cafe, showing the world the incredible talent brewing in Chicago's youth programs Three moments that captured our journey: 1.
