Lisa shares her "Why The #INTLCTR" statement, saying: “I chose to intern at The International Center because I love seeing all the ways that Indiana intersects with the world around us. I have lived in Indianapolis my entire life and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with an organization dedicated to global connections, right here in my hometown. Furthermore, the internship program at The Center is such a great opportunity for me to get hands-on experience in the nonprofit world before graduating.” Her favorite travel memory so far has been “going to La feria de abril in Seville, Spain. The dresses, the horses, the dancing, the lights - it was all so beautiful!”

Last Friday marked the second session of the James T. Morris Global Leadership Series at the Indiana Statehouse. Discussions focused on "Government Governance": - Greg Ballard, the former Mayor of Indianapolis, led a session on "Local Government Perspectives," sharing insights from his tenure and how local governments had impacted global partnerships. - Andrea Richter-Garry from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation discussed "State Government Perspectives," emphasizing how state-level governance supported international business and investment. - Peter Kirkwood from The International Center (Indianapolis) presented on "International Protocol & Etiquette," highlighting the importance of diplomatic protocols in global interactions. The session also included a Statehouse tour and concluded with a discussion on international relations and public relations, encouraging dialogue on the role of government as a global partner.
