Celebrating #InternationalCivilAviationDay! ?? As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, the demand for safe and efficient airspace integration continues to grow. At InterUSS Platform, we're dedicated to making this vision a reality by building a suite of #opensource, innovative solutions, whether for #UAS or #AAM. We recently had the opportunity to showcase our automated testing in practice for industry leaders and regulatory bodies in Dallas. There, we demonstrated how our platform enables seamless integration between diverse stakeholders and accelerates the deployment of #UTM solutions through #automatedtesting and standardized protocols. Additionally, we continue to look for leadership and insights from our Advisory Council, which includes civil aviation authorities, standards bodies, and other organizations, to inform the development and adoption of open-source tools. By closely working with technical experts and civil aviation authorities worldwide, we're building a unified framework for #Uspace operations. Together, we're paving the way for a future where drones and manned aircraft coexist harmoniously! ??

"It works!" ?? The recent Harmonized Skies 2024 conference in Dallas-Fort Worth marked a milestone for the future of uncrewed aviation. The event demonstrated the operational success of the federated UTM system, underpinned by the InterUSS Platform’s DSS, facilitating secure and compliant data exchange between #UTM Service Suppliers. With the application of ASTM F3548-21 standards for strategic deconfliction and the Federal Aviation Administration's oversight ensuring compliance, North Texas is setting a global benchmark for #BVLOS operations ?? Last week, we joined colleagues, regulators, and members of industry from around the world in Fort Worth, Texas for the Global UTM Association (GUTMA) Harmonized Skies Conference hosted by the Federal Aviation Administration. The InterUSS Platform underpinned the showcase and conversations throughout the week. From supporting: - the simulations seen in the opening session between ANRA Technologies, DroneUp, Wing, and Zipline, - the operations side-by-side in the same airspace involving ANRA Technologies, Manna Drone Delivery, Arlington Police Department, and Wing, to being discussed in panels such as: - “Approving UTM Services: Global perspectives on deploying digital services” with insights from the FAA, and - “Shared airspace at work: digitization enabling increased automation & scale” with drone delivery services DroneUp, Wing, and Zipline who have operationalized strategic coordination, it was a busy week! A few takeaways and key quotes: ?? InterUSS’s automated testing helps provide a “very clear bar of standards to reach.” ? InterUSS provides regulators a dashboard instead of lines and lines of code for ease of review. ?? US UTM Implementation participants are using ”automated testing with each software release - making sure it works for us, but also for the ecosystem.” ?? ”InterUSS has helped create a level playing field for everyone.” ?? “Deconfliction by automation is much more efficient than deconfliction by WhatsApp.” ?? We are seeing the “seeds of extensibility” as more and more regions nationally, including Utah and New York (scoped in the same way as Texas), come online.? ?? We can use the same governance and automated testing nationally/globally. ?? ” #Opensource is an embodiment of aviation safety culture. It’’s a forum to work together while keeping the integrity of the systems.” It still “leaves room for market flexibility for differentiated operations, approaches, and workflows.” ?? ”InterUSS is moving constantly.” Our scope is expanding within our pillars of visibility, transparency, and traceability.? It was an exciting week for the progress of UTM/U-space interoperability! Thank you for your insights Koen DE VOS, Amanda Boekholt, Jessica Brightman, Brendan Hillis, Jacob Goldsberry, Chris Lyons, Reinaldo Negron, Amit Ganjoo and many more and hosting the showcase Emmie Derb?ck, Amit Ganjoo, Cristian Maury, Rob Robertson and teams! #UTM #opensource #drones #aviation #uncrewed #ASTM #automatedtesting #FAA #NASA

?? InterUSS is thrilled to participate in GUTMA’s Harmonized Skies 2024 conference, happening from November 13-15 in Fort Worth, Texas! This landmark event, hosted by the Federal Aviation Administration and organized by the Global UTM Association (GUTMA), will bring together global stakeholders from the UTM and drone services industry to discuss the latest advancements in #airspaceIntegration and commercial #BVLOS operations. Our team will join pivotal discussions, such as the panels "Shared airspace at work: digitization enabling increased automation & scale" and "Approving UTM Services: Global Perspectives on deploying digital services." ?? Representing InterUSS on-site will be Brendan Hillis (InterUSS Platform contributor, Wing), along with the outreach committee co-chair Emmie Derb?ck (Wing) and Chris Clark, InterUSS Platform Programme Manager (The Linux Foundation). We’re looking forward to exchanging knowledge and driving forward digital airspace management! #HarmonizedSkies2024 #InterUSS #UTM

In honor of #NationalAviationDay, the InterUSS Platform is pleased to be part of the historic steps for uncrewed aviation, specifically for UAS-UAS coordination, made recently.??? #Opensource #automatedtesting is in operation in North Texas, as two #drone operators are cleared with FAA Letters of Acceptance to use their respective, interoperable #UTM systems to coordinate flights in shared airspace. Each company’s system is interoperable to facilitate a digital exchange of data. This is coordinated via the #InterUSSPlatform automated open source test that confirms each operator meets the criteria and is interoperable.??? These authorizations represent a broader effort across several representatives from industry, #FAA, and #NASA to create an open forum built on industry-consensus #ASTM standards and performance-based criteria. Through the US UTM Implementation, industry manages the sharing of the airspace through UTM with FAA oversight. As noted in DroneLife: “FAA, NASA, and industry participants have worked to operationalize UAS Traffic Management (UTM) services to support complex, beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS), commercial drone operations, with contributions from the Global UTM Association (GUTMA) and Linux Foundation’s InterUSS Platform.” Read more ?? https://lnkd.in/gpBy3KkW Read the FAA announcement ?? https://lnkd.in/gHuiBSYF #sharedairspace Federal Aviation Administration NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration
