关于我们
The I-Lab examines how inclusion, diversity, belonging, equity and access intersect with teaching and research to enhance the liberal arts and industry-specific disciplines. By encouraging the application of theory to practice, the I-Lab is a unique space at the NYU School of Professional Studies (and beyond) where scholarship and industry come together with an explicit focus on understanding and reducing systemic inequalities,

Mental health matters. This month of?#MentalHealth?Awareness has ignited global?conversations around the challenges many face and the importance of support, understanding, and compassion in?prioritizing mental well-being in our daily work and personal lives.? The I-Lab held an?"Intersectionality in Action: Transforming Well-being in Education & Business"?event this month to spotlight how intersectionality advances the creation and well-being across academic & work spaces, with leading faculty researchers from?TU Dortmund University,?Lehigh@NasdaqCenter, & the InterHEd initiative.?This month reminds us that mental health is as important as physical health, and we all play a role in creating an environment where open dialogue and collaborative solutions can happen. Although October is mental health awareness month, mental health is of year-round importance. By continually prioritizing it in our?learning and workspaces, we foster more supportive and understanding environments for ourselves and others. Remember, seeking help, sharing experiences, and taking time for self-care is okay. Let’s make mental well-being a daily commitment, not just a monthly focus. Awareness and education are powerful tools we can all use to take action. By bridging silos and fostering inclusivity, we give voice to unspoken needs and foster environments that promote understanding, care, and co-creativity.?? #mentalhealthawareness #intersectionality #worldmentalhealthmonth #inclusion #mentalwellnessmatters
