关于我们

We manufacturer gas monitors for industrial and work compliance applications. Founded in 1975, Interscan Corporation is internationally recognized, by government and industry alike, as the go-to company for toxic gas detection instruments—and the necessary record-keeping software. In a world of me-too products, “one size fits all” pseudo-engineering, and corporate mergers that seem to discourage the individual attention you deserve, Interscan is dedicated to old-fashioned customer service. Above all, we make sure that what you buy from us is ideally suited to your specific needs—AND is cost effective.

  • You can’t always see them. Chemical exposure, noise, and overexertion are the hidden hazards that cause most workplace injuries, not heavy machinery. That’s where industrial hygiene and safety step in. It’s not just about compliance—it’s a proactive strategy to predict, measure, and control risks before they harm people or operations. The result? ✅ Fewer injuries ✅ Higher productivity ✅ Lower costs ✅ Better morale We broke it all down in this quick read: 🔗: https://lnkd.in/g4ychgui #Manufacturing #WorkplaceSafety #IndustrialHygiene #OSHA #EHS #SafetyFirst

  • Electrochemical gas sensors aren’t just safety tools but precision instruments built on redox chemistry. They translate gas concentrations into current flow via targeted oxidation/reduction at the working electrode. The result? Real-time, ppm-level detection of corrosive, explosive, and toxic gases across industrial environments—without the complexity or cost of spectroscopy. Cross-sensitivity, humidity drift, and thermal variation are still challenges, but innovative design (electrode coatings, bias voltages, compensation algorithms) pushes the tech forward. #GasDetection #ElectrochemicalSensors #ProcessSafety #RedoxChemistry #IndustrialTech

  • Think PPE is enough? Administrative controls may be 4th on the safety hierarchy, but they’re a legal must and often your best bet when elimination or engineering fixes aren’t an option. From job rotation to strict work practices, these smart strategies reduce chemical exposure without expensive equipment upgrades. 🧠 Learn how to build a safer workplace with practical admin controls: https://ow.ly/NIo450VwMUt

  • The Hidden Dangers in Hospitals: 8 Gases That Could Harm Healthcare Workers Hospitals aren’t just healing spaces—they’re also chemical minefields. From sterilants like ethylene oxide and vaporized hydrogen peroxide to waste anesthetic gases like nitrous oxide and sevoflurane, many of these gases are toxic, flammable, or even carcinogenic. Some aren’t FDA-cleared. Others can trigger asthma, cause neurological damage, or raise cancer risks with chronic exposure. Monitoring indoor air quality isn’t optional—it’s essential. Learn which gases pose the highest risk and how to stay ahead. 📘 Full Article out now: “What Are the Most Hazardous Gases in Healthcare Facilities?” 🔗: https://ow.ly/MAqt50VrRxG

  • Are Healthcare Workers Breathing in Silent Threats? 😷 Hospitals depend on hazardous gases daily—sterilants like ethylene oxide, disinfectants such as chlorine dioxide, and anesthetics including nitrous oxide. Many healthcare pros already know these gases are effective, but not everyone realizes how dangerous prolonged exposure can be. Here's a quick breakdown of the biggest culprits: 🟡 Ethylene Oxide (EtO): Widely used sterilant—highly effective, deeply penetrating, but also a carcinogenic and flammable VOC. Any exposure is risky enough that the EPA has imposed stricter regulations. 🟡 Formaldehyde: Another sterilization mainstay and tissue preservative—fast-acting, cost-effective, but labeled as a potential carcinogen. OSHA strictly monitors exposure. 🟡 Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide (VHP): Effective sterilant and disinfectant cleared recently by FDA for medical device sterilization. While eco-friendly (breaking down into oxygen and water), stored VHP can dangerously build pressure and risk explosions. 🟡 Chlorine & Chlorine Dioxide: Powerful disinfectants that quickly neutralize pathogens. Chlorine gas can be highly toxic, corrosive, and reactive, while chlorine dioxide (recently cleared by FDA for wipes and foams) is safer—but still needs careful monitoring to prevent harmful exposure. 🟡 Vaporized Peracetic Acid & Glutaraldehyde: Both effective for sterilization and cold sterilization of sensitive equipment—but peracetic acid lacks FDA clearance for vapor systems, and glutaraldehyde vapor can cause severe respiratory issues and skin reactions. 🟡 Ozone: Highly effective against pathogens (including coronavirus), but can cause respiratory complications if levels aren't strictly controlled. Its usage isn’t standard practice yet. 🟡 Anesthetic Gases (like Nitrous Oxide): Essential for medical procedures, but chronic exposure (like leaks from equipment or poor ventilation) can lead to serious health issues, including neurological disorders and birth defects. ⚠️ The bottom line? Even with protective protocols, dangerous gases in healthcare facilities pose ongoing risks to staff and patients. Continuous, precise gas monitoring is crucial. For instance, gas analyzers can help ensure facility-wide safety by tracking hazardous gas concentrations around the clock. Curious about exactly how hospitals can manage these risks?
