The International Science Reserve (ISR) mobilizes the global scientific community to respond to complex crises across borders, such as the next pandemic or climate-related disasters. An initiative of the New York Academy of Sciences, the ISR has established an open, international network of scientists who will be prepared to use their research and expertise when crisis hits. The ISR network includes thousands of scientists across physical, life, earth, and behavioral sciences—from over 100 countries—facilitating international cooperation and collaboration. The ISR offers online preparedness exercises that use scenario planning, allowing scientists to explore different ways to apply their existing research to specific crisis situations.
