This past Sunday, almost 100 International Paper team members took part in the Poland Business Run (PBR), the largest charity run for businesses in Poland. On a sunny day with a joyful atmosphere our colleagues joined thousands of other runners in the 4km relay race. ??♂? The funds raised by the PBR will provide prostheses, rehabilitation, and other forms of support to improve the quality of life for the beneficiaries. We are honored to have contributed to this great initiative together with others in the Krakow business community. ?? Last but not least we’re excited that so many visitors stopped by our stand to learn more about International Paper and what it’s like to work in our company – and to enjoy a shot of prosecco. ?? Through our Forestland Stewards Partnership with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, we’re dedicated to protecting and enhancing critical forest habitats. We’re not just safeguarding these ecosystems—we’re ensuring they thrive for the wildlife of tomorrow.

Our Customer Commitment Centers and graphic designers are integral to our company’s community engagement efforts. Whether its creating puppet shows, dinosaurs and rocket ships, or learning about how to run a business, our designers create visually appealing content that draws in our community members and teaches our sustainability story and company values. In Minneapolis, we contributed corrugated supplies for a “Cardboard City” makerspace at the Science Museum of Minnesota. The materials were part of a building and engineering studio where science educators, children and parents used their imagination and ingenuity to make something new, or reuse something that was already built!

But land use changes and extreme weather have degraded habitats and wildlife populations. Conservation efforts are essential to protect this critical ecosystem. That’s why we’re excited to undertake this crucial work of restoring the Lower Mississippi Alluvial Valley with dedicated partners, including USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), International Paper’s Forestland Stewards Partnership and the Walton Family Foundation.
