Bats play a vital role in our ecosystems, from pollinating plants to controlling insect populations. In honor of #BatWeek, we are proud to highlight our partnership with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation to restore critical bat habitats through oak regeneration projects in Alabama. Our efforts focus on rebuilding white oak forests—key roosting spaces for bats—ensuring these important species can thrive despite the challenges they face. Creatures big ?? and small ?? ?? are crucial to the survival of American ecosystems! This National Reptile Awareness Day, we are proud to highlight our longstanding Forestland Stewards Partnership with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation to restore the longleaf pine ecosystem, a critical habitat for endangered species like the Eastern indigo snake and gopher tortoise. We’re supporting local partners working to reintroduce Eastern indigo snakes into northern Florida. In South Carolina, we’re supporting a practice called “head-starting,” where young gopher tortoises are raised before being released into the wild, helping increase their chance of survival.

We need solutions. Food has the power to create them. Food is more than just sustenance—it fuels community, inspires bright ideas, and helps us believe in a better tomorrow. That’s why IP is working with Global FoodBanking Network and Feeding America to provide food for communities, food for nutrition, food for climate resilience, food for a better future. By partnering with food banks in communities, gaps can be filled to provide immediate food access and reduce waste. In 2023 alone, IP contributed more than 10 million meals and nearly 400,000 boxes collectively to GFN and Feeding America. #HelpFillTheBoxes

We are excited to share that both DS Smith and IP shareholders overwhelmingly voted in favor of the combination. The support from the shareholders of both companies reaffirms our belief that bringing the two companies together would create a true global leader of sustainable packaging solutions and more opportunities for our customers, people and all stakeholders. This represents another important step towards the potential combination and we continue to work through the regulatory approvals required to complete the transaction. Note: This post contains forward-looking statements that are subject to risks and uncertainties. Actual results may differ materially from those projected.
