While Philip Gaskin was working on a national scale to gather and present data that further strengthened the case for equitable entrepreneurship-led economic development approaches and grassroots ecosystem building, somewhere in a small town in Oklahoma, an ecosystem builder was watching, learning, and being inspired. Yes, that someone was me ?? A couple of Fridays ago, Cecilia Wessinger, brought Philip and a group of us together in Tulsa (thank you!!), and while we enjoyed a hearty meal and dove into deep conversations, I kept thinking, "This discussion right here is so good, it could be a podcast!" Maybe someday, but for now, I've taken the time to jot down my thoughts in an article, reflecting on my journey as an ecosystem builder, and sharing collective stories and perspectives. - What do soul food and ecosystem building have in common? - Who are these ecosystem builders?
