#DistrictSteam is a proven approach to reducing #CarbonEmissions at scale. For large cities – even those as dense as Manhattan – where buildings seek to comply with Local Law 97, #DistrictEnergy can facilitate decarbonizing heating systems for hundreds of buildings at a time. ? The largest downtown steam system in the world, Con Edison, is planning to implement innovations that will accelerate the #EnergyTransition and lower carbon emissions for its 1,500 customer buildings in Manhattan.?Con Edison’s President, Matthew Ketschke recently spoke with?Urban Green Council to share how Con Edison's district steam is uniquely positioned to help landmark buildings like the Empire State Building, Grand Central terminal, and hundreds of others avoid disruptive, unpredictable HVAC renovations with lower risk to tenants and owners.
