As the sun set last Thursday on the second edition of Lubricant Expo North America, it was time to relax a bit and reflect during the flight out of #Detroit. It had been a busy & productive week: I had gotten to: * address a workshop class, * proctor an ICML #certification exam for end users, * moderate a panel of lubrication consultants, * visit with a variety of industry reps for several days, * acknowledge several training partners on the expo floor, * engage with certified MLEs who serve on this event's advisory board, * hand out badge ribbons to proud certified practitioners, * and make new acquaintances at the dinner reception co-sponsored by Lubrication Expert and DELTA-XERO Distribution. Speaking of the exhibit hall, I enjoyed visits with individuals who stopped by Booth 705... ...to learn what we do ("ICML certifies people, not products") ...to ask about memberships ("Our audiences overlap, so Affiliate status makes sense for your company") ...to discuss engagement with ICML members ("Guest authors live forever in the ICML eLibrary") ...to invite ICML to regional industry events ("That sounds mutually beneficial") ... or just to say hello (looking at you, Ray Dalley!) ?? Many kudos to the Blueprint Event Company team for another successful event. ICML appreciates the opportunity once again to have been a sponsor, presenter, and exhibitor. Did you know that there are two companies with multiple employees certified to International Council for Machinery Lubrication (ICML) Food Processing Lubrication (FPL)? They are ADUSA Distribution and MRG Laboratories, and we all learned together in the same training class. ADUSA owes this to the leadership of Travis Sanderson and Christopher Orr. With the free training this week in Detroit at Lubricant Expo North America and custom classes being scheduled, I think this may be changing as more food, #packaging and #pharmaceutical professionals look to learn and confirm their knowledge of all things related to #lubrication in #FoodProcessing
