ICI has been partnering with School District U-46 since 2023. In our most recent endeavor, ICI is serving as District U-46’s construction manager on the expansion and renovation of Kenyon Woods Middle School. ? District U-46 is implementing a districtwide shift to a sixth-through-eighth grade middle school model. Due to the shift, Kenyon Woods Middle School’s enrollment is anticipated to increase from 750 to over 1,100 students. An expansion of the school is necessary to accommodate the increased enrollment. ? ICI is building a single-story, 47,000 square foot addition. The expansion will be masonry construction and will house classrooms, science labs, conference rooms, staff offices and associated back-of-house spaces. Additionally, ICI is renovating the administrative wing, staff offices, select classrooms and library media center spaces within the existing school. ? Steel is being set at Napleton Automotive Group's River Oaks Kia. The new dealership, scheduled to be completed this summer, is a conversion of a former Best Buy retail store. ICI is expanding the fa?ade to accommodate the dealership’s new showroom and sales areas. Additionally, our team is building out the 44,670 square foot interior to Kia brand standards. The design team at RC Bowman Architecture was able to maintain a portion of the existing structure to generate project savings.?ICI’s team was able to sequence shoring details to allow for new structural construction while maintaining the integrity of the existing building. ICI broke ground this past fall on two new construction, state-of-the-art, full size auto service centers on a 15.5-acre parcel in St. Augustine, Florida for Fields Auto Group. ? The buildings will be located within World Commerce Center, a 996-acre development within one of northeast Florida’s fastest growing markets. Fields has the service centers situated within a plethora of new construction retail stores – Costco, Home Depot, Buc-ee’s and Bass Pro Shops, to name a few. ? Construction of the Mercedes-Benz AG and Porsche AG Service Centers is taking place concurrently but with different construction methods. The two-story Mercedes-Benz building will total 25,600 square feet and is comprised of CMU construction. The facility will also include a separate freestanding car wash and detail component. After 13 years with our team, Terry Fielden, VP / Director of K-12 Education, has departed ICI. We appreciate his contributions throughout his time with us and wish him well on his next chapter! ? Marc Poskin, VP Estimating; Jason Wasser, Project Manager; Brian Chadwick, General Superintendent K-12; and Joseph Fahey, VP Business Development; will continue their leadership roles within our K-12 market. These individuals have a combined 70 years (!) with ICI. Marc, Jason, and Brian will continue to focus exclusively on K-12 education construction, ensuring a smooth path forward.?

At a company-wide celebration at the conclusion of 2024, Brian was presented with this distinction by John’s daughters and ICI’s leadership team for his dedication to helping all those around him continue to grow and improve in their role. His positivity, energy and enthusiasm are contagious! We appreciate and value your contributions to the ICI Team, Brian! The John Gerke Mentorship Award is in its inaugural year and was instated to annually recognize an ICI team member who demonstrates a passion for fostering professional development. John was a project superintendent at ICI for 30 years until his passing in 2018. He was a vivid part of the heart and soul of our team. John was more than a colleague, he was a dear friend who is celebrated for his playful personality and infectious smile, unwavering dedication to ICI, and passion for mentoring new talent.
