?? We are hiring!? ??The International Civil Society Centre is looking for a consultant to evaluate the Centre’s Solidarity Action Network (SANE) programme.? ?? See?https://lnkd.in/ew-tTdp8 ? The evaluator will be engaged to assess SANE over its five years of existence, including its effectiveness in achieving its intended objectives; its outcomes and impact on contributing to envisioned change; and analysis of collected quantitative and qualitative data to assess the SANE’s overall outcomes and impact. The main objectives of the evaluation are:? ?? Assess SANE’s outcomes and impact against its stated objectives ?? Evaluate the effectiveness of programme implementation and the sustainability of SANE’s achievements ?? Identify challenges, lessons learned, and best practices ?? Provide actionable recommendations for the SANE’s next steps. ?? The consultant will be required to develop an evaluation framework; conduct desktop research and collect both quantitative and qualitative data from key stakeholders; analyse the collected data; and ultimately prepare and present a comprehensive evaluation report. ? The consultancy is expected to require approximately 10-12 working days. ?? With the decision of the new US administration to freeze aid and abolish USAID, what are the areas where leaders in the civil society sector can invest collectively, to make good use of the crisis at hand? Five weeks after the first Executive Orders by President Trump, many consequences are directly and indirectly impacting the sector at large and the most vulnerable people it strives to protect and serve. As we all struggle to grapple with the daily news and continued attacks on the sector, we also need to understand the long-term impacts this will have -and what these impacts mean to the continued survival of civil society, and in particular, international civil society organisations. ?? Earlier this month, Eva Gondor was invited to facilitate a foresight workshop in Budapest, Hungary, as part of a study session on “New Trends in International Voluntary Service” (IVS).?The workshop provided a platform to explore the future of international volunteering through the lens of futures thinking, to a group of 30 young professionals from around the world, representing international networks and organisations. ??
