关于我们

IACSP is a growing organization established by peers and colleagues throughout the industry to develop and provide training to prepare surveillance personnel for the future. IACSP’s mission is to train existing and future surveillance agents in the core skills of their profession and also to develop the next generation of surveillance agents, supervisors, managers, and directors. Surveillance departments are continuously being challenged to protect our properties more effectively. The need for highly trained personnel has never been greater. The IACSP addressed this issue through training; a certification program developed by surveillance directors. All membership dues are used for training. Instructors and board members are volunteers and receive no salaries. They contribute their time and knowledge only to return to the surveillance field to help the field grow and improve. Candidates for certification must successfully complete the twenty-six core skills or knowledge sets that are provided to the candidate through seminars, programs, webinars, and online training.

  • We are excited to present the Event Security Planning session at the Casino Resort Protection Conference on October 7, 2024. With presentations from Dan Ray of the Oklahoma State Police and Spencer Rich, Security & Safety Manager for the BOK Center, this session promises to deliver valuable insights into best practices and lessons learned in security planning and implementation for large-scale events. In today’s environment, it’s imperative that gaming properties prioritize the safety and security of both attendees and employees during events. This session will equip security and surveillance professionals with the essential knowledge to effectively prepare their properties for these critical responsibilities. https://lnkd.in/gnJ4F2CZ

  • We are thrilled to kick off our Second Annual Casino Resort Protection Conference on Monday, October 7, hosted by the International Association of Certified Surveillance Professionals. We are honored to have Tyler Burtis, John Kucera, Jeff Mitchell, and Chris Seymour leading our keynote address, “Sports Stars, General Managers, and Willful Blindness.” This distinguished panel of experts in Anti-Money Laundering and the Bank Secrecy Act will dive into recent high-profile cases, exploring why they happened and how casinos can avoid similar pitfalls by implementing a robust compliance program that meets Title 31 requirements. As many surveillance directors will agree, Title 31 has become a critical concern not just for our departments, but for the entire property. Our challenges in compliance often stem from a lack of understanding about what is truly required to be compliant and what it takes to maintain that compliance. Having personally attended presentations by Tyler and John, I can assure you that their insights will fundamentally change your approach to compliance. Tyler once shared a perspective that reshaped my view: “Casinos, particularly surveillance, focus on preventing cheating that could cost hundreds of thousands or even millions. But if you fail to meet compliance standards, the penalties can be many millions, and you might even face personal liability.” Recent cases have demonstrated the severe consequences of ineffective or misdirected compliance programs. This keynote and the subsequent panel discussion are indispensable for any surveillance professional. It’s an opportunity you cannot afford to miss. Conference being held from October 7-9 with CSP Exam opportunity on October 10. https://lnkd.in/gnJ4F2CZ
